The region’s plateau is one of the flattest in Italy and is well suited for growing powerful red grapes like Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera and Primitivo. This wine comes from grapes grown in a vineyard 700 feet above the Adriatic Sea near Brindisi.

Tasting Notes:

Deep violet red color with a pleasant nose of red berries, herbs (licorice), spices and earth notes. The palate is dominated by generous fruit and herb (licorice and tobacco) flavors. This is a medium-bodied wine with well-integrated smooth tannins and a clean finish with a hint of spice. It can be served with grilled meats and poultry, cheeses, pasta, or pizza over the next 3 to 5 years.
