The vineyards of Chateau la Moulinière produce grapes for both red and white Bordeaux. Two of the red grape varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, are also used to produce this rosé. The soils surrounding the Chateau are a mix of sand and limestone. The rosé, a 60:40 Cab/Merlot blend, is made in the Saignée method, where free run (unpressed) juice is taken from the recently crushed grapes after a short maceration. The juice is then fermented at a controlled temperature to produce this refreshing pink wine.

Tasting Notes:

A pale ruby colored wine with a berry-filled nose, particularly strawberries and raspberries. In the mouth more refreshing red berries flavors abound, coupled with good, crisp acidity. Very enjoyable when served properly chilled, enjoy it with pizza, your favorite grill meats, or picnic sandwiches.
