Release Notes:
Château Moulin de la Roquille is one of the small gems of this little-known appellation. Their Cuvée l’Espérance 2005 is a blend of Merlot (70%), Cabernet Sauvignon (15%), and Cabernet Franc (15%). After a slow, sixweek fermentation, they age their wine in oak barrels for 12 months. Tasting Notes:A garnet colored wine with an attractive nose of red fruits (cherry and raspberry). On the palate, blackberry and cassis fruit flavors dominate, but there are hints of vanilla and freshly cut wood. A medium-bodied wine with a smooth finish on light tannins. Drink now to 2012 with steak, hamburgers, grilled chicken, or soft cheeses. Region:Bordeaux Côtes de Francs is a small Bordeaux appellation to the east of St-Emilion.
